Pirate's Grog Rum was conceived on the island of Roatán in 2012.
Co-Founders Gareth Noble and Beth Jones were living on the island met a master distiller. Together they planned the import and distribution of the superb locally produced rum to the UK and abroad.
Gareth was previously Product Development Manager for a listed UK company. Beth is a marketing expert who helped to build a successful music marketing startup into a market leader.
Pirate's Grog is sold in the UK through the on and off-trade (restaurants, bars and retailers). This includes shops such as Harvey Nichols and bar chains such as the Marylebone Group.
Bottles and gift sets are sold online through e-commerce portals Master of Malt, Whisky Exchange, Drink Finder and Pirate's Grog's site.
The rum is also exported to nine territories outside the UK including Holland, Belgium, France and Italy.
Pirate's Grog has a special focus on events. This year they have been invited to Notting Hill Carnival to run a bar in the largest cordoned-off area of the event. This is to celebrate the 15th anniversary of top UK music band Chase & Status.
